A year later and an update and a slight change of plan. Ranelagh Bridge is back!
I’ve come full Circle. I’ve always felt RB was unfinished business. I’ve flirted with many ideas and places but it’s always ticked the boxes I want.
What’s different this time is there will be no running lines in front so just the yard track work. Like my last property there’s no where for the running lines to go and I have limited width as it’s in a garage.
There is room for Canton so like the original plan Canton for loco storage and RB as the playout.
The ground signals are away being refurbished, a turntable has been ordered from Mike Greenwood and I’ve ordered a few other bits. The garage needs work which will take place next year.
I can get the signal box, stores and water tower from Intentio and Monks gate models have done a variation of the tenements that will work for what I need.
access to the turn table will be easier as the large building will just be the side elevation and rear and will be removable so I can get right up to the Table which will also be fitted with an indexing stepper motor. Track will be hand built like last time and my mate is drawing up the plan again as the last one was on a failed computer.

scenes like this will be recreated

4 Buffer stops have been ordered from
Ragstone with another two to get.

luckily I managed to get some pictures off a saved computer and these will come in very handy

the very top floor will be omitted as this was a recent addition when the building was refurbished a few years ago.

this was an original plan sent to me by my now good friend Rob, like last time we will remove the end double slips and replace with a pair of left hand points

the base board will be cut out so you’ll be able to stand Inside the large building on the right with just the two sides above being modelled.

the new base board edge will be in front of the signal box.
Intentio are going to cut out the hard stand area and pits as one so hopefully we will not have the same issue with delaminating ply like last time and I may double up on 9mm ply as a base glueing and screwing two sheets together for an 18mm sub base.
I’ve got more than enough locos to populate it now and with a County being built after Christmas it’s just a modified Hall I need.
I don’t plan on getting any diesel traction at present but never say never.
