There are plenty of companies in the UK and other parts of the world who can do the same with "lost resin" or "lost plastic" casting.

As Nigel says, there's a great selection of businesses wherever you are, that offer to print, cast, machine whatever you want, from your own CAD file. The original Shapeways business of years ago, was early in this field - and initially I had good results from them.

But as Lawrence has alluded to above, some businesses seem better in their specialist area than others. Lawrence is a master of finely detailed 3D printing, so that allows him and customers off to a good start.

Are you sure the problem is caused by the unequal volume of plastic over the area of the wheel, rather than pressure? I assume the model has stood on its wheels, so some spokes in tension and others in compression?

Im sorry Brian but where are all these magical companies that are more than willing to cast things for you? I have been searching for months to try and find a company within the UK happy to help and I either get ignored, turned down, or drag things out for so long because they are simply not interested.

I would love to know of any casting companies that are more than happy to help me out. Im more than happy supplying a list of companies I have tried but failed getting anywhere with!

I know a few people have printed with an engineering grade (machinable) resin in the past: eSUN LCD Hard Tough 3D Resin 0.5KG/1KG

Do we know if this makes a difference.

Is there a time, post-production, when significant movement in the printed material has ceased to be significant. If so, is one possible answer to the eccentricity problem simply a "maturing period" for the print prior to centre-boring?
