Hi Allan , the D looks really good and the the camera shot from the platform of the coal engine with the warehouses in the background was excellent. .I also liked the loco coal wagons, they are very nice indeed. A great video. Thanks John!
I thought it was Sellotape..!!??Sticky back plastic, of course, the other staple of BP construction - real name Fablon, I think!

Thanks John. Yeah the D doesn't run as smoothly as I'd like, it's a wee bit hesitant. It uses Slaters split axle hornblocks with each bearing picking up, exactly the same as the Coal Engine, which is bulletproof. Seems strange that I'll have to add a stay-alive in an 0-8-0.Hi Allan , the D looks really good and the the camera shot from the platform of the coal engine with the warehouses in the background was excellent. .I also liked the loco coal wagons, they are very nice indeed. Thanks Kevin, I liked that view too. It's difficult to reach that side of the layout without lifting the shed board. I'd love to have a view looking out from the turntable but I'd have to indulge in some skulduggery to disguise the fiddle yard and the cellar steps!Hi Allan,
An excellent video. and some different angles (I think!). I liked the view early on looking across the loco yard to the back of the signalbox!

All the best,

Ah, I'm a Jacobs Cream Cracker man, myself...Agreed. A good one.
Nothing better than 20 minutes watching your videos with a cup of tea and a Fox’s Double Chocolate biscuit (or two)!
Good for relieving life’s daily stresses.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Allan , can i ask about the grey area on the parcel doors . Do you paint that and then the plum and is there lining ?Hi all,
Still slowly cranking through the coaches in-between bouts of fine weather.
They're mostly finished, only the corridor connections to do. I j-u-s-t managed to spray paint the rooves before the rattle can ran out.

I'd 'upholstered' the seats with printouts from the pc - I've subsequently added pictures to the compartment walls.

Corridor connections next, I haven't quite worked out yet how to make these look good but I have a few ideas rattling round my head...
Cheers
Allan
There is an innocent explanation.I’m intrigued by the cannabis leaf upholstery…
Thanks John! They look really nice Allan.

Thanks Heather, since I took those, I've noticed a deliberate mistake! If you look closely at the rightmost grab handle on the toplight brake, it's upside down... I've since dug it out and corrected it. I bet Wolverton wouldn't have done that...Freshly rolled out of Wolverton Works! Turn those photos black and white and they’d be impossible to tell from the real thing!
The most worrying thing is that it was taken from a photo of real upholstery sold to heritage lines...I’m intrigued by the cannabis leaf upholstery…
Hi Paul. I simply leave them in grey primer. In real life they were actual slate panels for destinations to be chalked on. I have lined them. The lining should be on the edges of the bolection mouldings rather than the panels themselves - can't say I'm that good at lining though...Hi Allan , can i ask about the grey area on the parcel doors .
